IEHA

Not the Issue

It is not the issue that is the issue. It is how YOU relate to the issue

Your Example

The world is changed by your example and not by your opinion

Exclusion

YOU begin hatred, exclusion and oppression by being judgmental and discriminatory

Our VISION

Who we are

About IEHA

_

WHO WE ARE

We are principally a rights defense organization focusing on the creation and provision of resources, giving a united voice to common challenges, identifying opportunities, responding to threats and fortifying our platform for advancing the rights of the LGBTIQ community.

WHAT WE DO

The bedrock around which IEHA was founded was the idea of protecting and rebuilding lives of social minority groups, especially the most vulnerable ones who have become targets of discrimination and exclusion. Our safe homes/Shelters have thus become our mainstay. Secondly, we run a functioning media department that caters for documentation in the form storytelling through documentaries, interviews, articles and short stories

YEARS

EXPERIENCE

LGBTQ people, intersex persons and sex workers around the world experience
discrimination, violence, harassment, rejection, and exclusion from society based on
their sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, and sex characteristics. There
are increasing numbers of brutal crimes targeting LGBTIQ persons.
